Hi. I'm looking for a "openable" fence gate to fit the standard wooden fence in the stock maps, with animated opening, and a trigger volume that you can place to make it auto open. I've been looking at other opening gates and they use the map trigger mod and use a key to open. And I've looked at the stock map auto opening road barriers, but I just can't seem to figure out how it's done. I just don't have the knowledge of the editor yet. Really looking for help here from a more seasoned Giants editor user. Or an already existing object that does what I'm after. Thanks all. |

Hi, you can try the following: - get the dfeault "barrierTriggger", whcih can be found at the "biomassHeatingPlant" - replace the existing objects (the normal barrier bar and its post) by your objects - pay attention to and keep the hierarchy as it is! (You might insert a "dummy transformgroup) - use the "freeze transformations" option (right click on object in scenegraph) in such a way that your moving object rotates around its z-axis to open close Should be possible that way ;) Cheers, Emil |
