Hi :) My trailer was rejected from Modhub. The reason: “The particleSystem is darker than the grain in the trailer”. This is what I did… 1. I imported the ‘grainNorm’ unloading effect from the in-game Trans Space 8000. 2. I created my own emittershape. After getting rejected, I’ve tried different settings for the diffuse color in GE (for the ‘grainNorm’ object). Did not notice any visible changes. Also… https://imageshack.com/i/pmXEj9zgj My fillVolume shape creates some white and darker lines in-game: https://imageshack.com/i/pmgaiCRhj Here’s the fillvolume shape: https://imageshack.com/i/pm7nUhJ2j Is it too complex? If so, is this the reason why the unloading effect creates darker grain? I’m thankful for any help. I really hope to have this trailer Modhub ready :) |

I'm pretty sure I've discovered what I did wrong... When importing the tipping effects, I scaled them to better match the trailer. When re-importing the objects, now without scaling them, the tipping effect seemed brighter... |

Hi, nice to hear that you've sorted it out. A good practise is to always use "free transformations". In this case you would only need to freeze the "scale" attributes. Cheers, Emil |

Thanks, Emil :) I'm pretty sure I used the 'freeze transformation" function... But you'll never know. So many things to think of when putting a model together ;) |
