Hi, I built a custom built from scratch placeable building. First time doing so and learning everything the hard way it seems. My Building has 4 animated garage doors and 1 animated man door. I created the animation and baked it in blender. When I exported it to giants editor I changed things in the i3d xml to make the door segments work together so they would work in giants editor. I created an xml and a mod desc xml. I researched multiple other base game placeables and third party mods to develop my xmls. I basically copied the xml from another like mod and deleted everything out that didn’t have anything to do with my mod. I’m finally to the point that I’m ready to put the mod in game. I zipped the mod file up and put it in my “documents” “mods” file. I was finally after a while able to get my mod in the downloads section of game startup and in the sheds section of the construction menu inside of a map but when I click on my mod to place it, it says “can’t load item”. And this is my problem, I can’t figure out why. I have checked and recheck all 3 of my xml files multiple times and everything seems to be right but my knowledge of all this is still very new. I do know that I really have a new found love for modeling and modding and I don’t want this to be the reason I have to quit. So if anyone can offer some advice or somehow wants to take a look at my files to see what I’m doing wrong, I would be super appreciative. I have done tons of research on all this and that’s how I learned to get this far but there is a huge lack of info online about how to setup an xml and mod description for a brand new built from scratch mod. So I feel stuck. Thanks in advance for any help you all feel like giving!

The first thing to do is check the game log file... That will show any errors related to that mod... After finding the error, at least then you know what needs fixing...
