I had been using the editor 4.17 problem free for some time, then came 4.19 and every time i used it full system crash up to and including blue screen at times. dont use the 4.19 and no crashes so since the changes were not that significant anyway i just continued using 4.17. Now we have 5.01 and my problem has not gone away i still get crashes during use. the difference is now the changes to the editor are significant so if i can i would really like to be using it.
My use of the editor is for farming simulator maps but i can just as easy get a crash from any one of the i3D files i open there is no difference in that regard so please dont blame the task.
It is important to understand that this is windows crashing not just the editor.

So first question is the obvious " Does the editor have some specific requirements in other software i should have and dont know about?
System not up to latest editors?
Any ideas?
I enjoy creating maps too much to not be able to continue so any help here would be great.

I am not an expert but it seems to me that the Giants Editor is a win 32 app and your running a 64 bit system. I would like to know why there is Not a Win 64 app ????? Sorry I could not help more.

Currently running all GE 4.1.2 to 5.0.1 on 3 machines here of different specs, all Win 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 and no problems.

I have no 'Compatibility' settings active, but as all systems are different, use of these settings may assist you?
