Hey all you great modders out there.

Im trying to get some windmills on my map. I creating a map of farming in Denmark, so I need som turning windmills.

I need to get the Windmill to turn.

I have imported the windmill from the FS17, my problem is, that i will not turn ingame.

I need help figuring out, how to get the script working so my windmills will turn.

hope some out there are good with the scripting, i have read that there is a default script I can use, I just dont know what it is called, or how I use it.

Hope someone out there can help

I'm looking for windmills too, like to old galvanized one on ,my grandfather and uncles farms. Most ran a water pump for stock tanks and animal water, but my grandfather had one rigged to run an 12volt generator which ran all the lights and such in his farm buildings. It backed up a little gas engine generator (WWII vintage it think) that ran on pig and cow crap gas. Ther eis one in the FS15 Westbridge map, and I plan to import it to my map and see if it works. I suspect it runs from a LUA script though.

Yes, I really need help with the script, there are tons of windmills to import, but im clueless on when how to make a script that will make the windmills run.

Only want them for decorations in the background. Not as player Windmills.

So hope som have an animation script to make them move in game.

Okay imported the windmill from the FS15 map, Westbridge, and it works like a champ except no water flowing into the bucket, even the sound works, but it has a couple script errors which look like they might be easy to fix. One of course it the water thing, and opening the i3d files I see how these are done. The other is the call to the rotator, a warning about the call method being old, but it works. I'll mess around with it soon as I get the chance and see if I can clear the errors and get the water working.

if you use the windturbine from FS2017 just add the scripcallback on.create, and in use the default script Windturbine.onCreate, that will make the windmill work, and turn.

Okay, but the one from FS15 works without doing anything, so which windmill are you using, and where did you find the "default script Windturbine.onCreate" ?? And does it have a way to control the speed at which it turns?

The FS15 the windPump as it's called, has the script callback Rotator.onCreate.
