Hey guys!

I tried to mod the fs17 map goldchrest valley.

I modded previously a modmap from the Internet. There was the moddesk ready. At the original map there is no moddesk because it isnt a mood.
What must I do that I can mod the map and that the map work.

I hobe you can help me.

Before you begin modding, you should learn some basics first. Read the modding manual in FS17 "sdk/moddingHandbook". It contains also a step-by-step guide how to create a new mod/map.

If you load a map into editor and do an "export all with files", merely the i3d and graphics are exported. So that you can 'clone' a map/model and continue editing a working duplicate.
However that's not ready-to-play. There are still some important files missing. Select from editor "new mod from game". This generates also other related files, like the XMLs.
But there's still some work left: the "modDesc.xml" is incomplete and you have to add/change a few tags manually.

To do a modmap in FS17 you use either of the files in the maps folder of the SDK on your install; map01 (goldgrest), or map02 (Sosnovka), and it sets up your new modmap properly with the correct file structure automatically, including the modDesc.xml. I've written a quick tutorial on doing this in about three threads here now. you copy the CONTENTS of the map you want to use from on of th eteo map folders mentioned above into the map folder you named for your mod map. Now when you exports with all files, put them in new maps folder inside your new named map folder. Example ...

Export All with Files to -> My Documents -> My Games -> Farming Simulator 17 -> mods -> [my new map clone] -> maps folder.
