| @Tobias: Skully is right we release the current GE version at that time with each game. That is always the GE version that we used to build the game in the first place. GE 4.1.7 is the version for LS 11 modding. 95% of the new things in GE 4.1.8 are for convenience and not new features anyway. For us its important that we can change the GE and the i3d format for future games. If we would support all released games with the most recent GE version we couldn't do that. |

| I bought FS 2011 off of Steam. My game didnt come with GE 4.1.7 I only have 4.1.2 on my computer. Can i just update mine, or do i have to download the new version? |

| Little question for you. Why can't I download those older versions of GE for free? Like 4.1.2 or 4.1.6. Because when using 4.1.7 it often says to me, that the file I try to open has a wrong .i3D version. And previously, I got rid of that whit saving the file again in the 4.1.2 or 4.1.6. But now, after a stupid mistake when I formated my Harddrive, I don't have them anymore! |

| Strange that when other software companies sell a game with an editor, then subsequently bring out a updated editor it is usually offered to users FREE not sold for over £120, and when you think the game only costs £40 at most this is rather excessive and could put people off modding this game altogether and without mods a simulation game like this is doomed to die. This surely is not in Giants Software's best interest, or am I being naive. |

| @James: We don't sell the GIANTS Editor for £120. Its the GIANTS Engine SDK that is £120. With the SDK you can create your own home brew games. |

| I have bought the SDK version and I import my map from the data file everything seems ok. When i want to edit the terrain etc. I cant see the "terrain editing" window and after doing all the changes i can't save the i3D file overiding the origional. I to have tried saving it in another folder but when you open the game none of the changes have taken effect. I would hate to think I have wasted $'s for nothing. I am running Windows 7 64x anyone out there to help me? |
