I've looked through the forums but didn't see what I am looking for. If I missed please direct me to the right thread...
I am trying to modify a map to contain a larger gravel area so that I can build my farm. In 17 I simply copied all the gdm's from my savegame, pasted them in the map folder. Then went into GE7, modified the textures in the area I wanted to change. After modifying in GE I would copy the gdm's again, put them back in the savegame folder. Then zip up the map mod and overwrite the map in my mods folder. Could anyone tell me what changed in this process?
When I go back in the game the items I changed in "Terrain foilage paint mode" has changed but the gravel I added in the "Terrain detail texture paint mode" did not.

|Copy the map's "*.i3d.terrain.lod.type.cache" into your savegame. Rename it "terrain.lod.type.cache" after you have deleted the old one.

|Worked like a charm. Thanks Bilbo

|Only problem is, all my existing crops are gone. All fields are empty, is this a product of copying the terrain .lod type cache?
Or did I mess up when resaving my fruits gdm??

|The "terrain.lod.type.cache" is for ground terrain only.
The foliage is in "fruit_density.gdm". Of course in an empty map there are no fruits on the fields. If you copy this into your savegame, the fields will also be empty again.
