When i open Giants Editor it only pops up with the getting started page then doesn't show the actual editor

There are tick box by a text something along the lines of "do not show this message again", tick that and the welcome screen wont appear again. Although you still see the actual editor in the background, so maybe its different issue you're referring to. Maybe it crashes immediately after the welcome screen, dunno.
