I know 3ds max, Don't want to know blender and would prefer not to use maya... Maya's exporter works flawlessly, maya is just freaky to model in for me. 3ds max I model and texture and everything exports fine but the model has the same luminance day or night. I have tried almost everything. I use a bump and diffuse on a standard blinn material.
Any ideas would be welcome...

I think I figured it out using a specular map as well
