Hello, I'm in the processes of editing a tractor from FS 2013 to FS 15 and the original has this function in the xml file: steeringAnimationNodes. which seem the new game doesn't read. Has this function been replaced by another? in that case, which one?
The text that I want to edit is this:
<steeringAnimationNodes>
<animationNode index="0>21" wheelIndex="1" minXRot="36" maxXRot="-36" /></steeringAnimationNodes>

Hi,

these nodes are no longer used and have been removed.

You'll have to find a different solution for the 'animation' of that part.
Try to have a look at the default vehicles ... maybe there is one which does a similar thing?

Also the "movingParts" are extremly useful (they have lots of options available!)

Cheers,
Emil

Can I ask you what means each atribute of the "movingParts"?

Well, I give up. Can't make it works. Obviusly, if It could be done with moving parts, Giants would have used it and not the steeringAnimationNodes in the Classics addon for FS 2013.
There is nothing in the FS15 default machines that do the same animation that the steering wheel side arm in tractors that I could use as example.

Hi,

sorry, I was a bit too fast in choosing my answer ;)

Well, please have a look at the Deutz Agrostar 661.
If you take a closer look at the first "wheel line" you see an attribute called "steeringNode".
Maybe this is what you're looking for?

At least you can make a steering bar animation with this attribute and I think taht's what you want to do?

Cheers,
Emil

Well that is a closer one :)

The thing is the atribute is "steeringNodeMinTransX" and I need a rotation.

I tried "steeringNodeMinRotX" and "steeringNodeMinXRot" and the original from FS2013 "minXRot" but all of them gives me the Lua error because they are not correct.

Do you know the rotation atribute text?

@Emil, do you know the text for the rotation atribute? thanks!!

Hi,

hmmmm, it seems that exactly this functionality has been removed.
Sorry for that, but seems like you would have to write a small script yourself.

Cheers,
Emil

bad news then
It was very close, since is the same function than in FS2013 but it seems it is now only for straight movement and not for rotations.
I'm the Jon Snow of scripting :P so, here it ends for me.
