i have converted a few fendts from the fs 09 gold to fs 2013 some peaple are crying about giants mods are not 1.1 whats the deal with 1.1 what happends if a mod is not 1,1 does it affect the game in anyway and using the fendts from 09 in 13 with that cause a problem i dont think using giants mods from 09 will hurt anything i do believe 1.1 is crap i have not seen anything from giants saying to use 1,1 mods only

Vehicles being 1:1 means the vehicles are of the right scale for the world in 2013, many of the old mod vehicles 09, and 2011 are to large or to small which looks strange or even makes them hard to drive around since they take to much space.

@Tom:
I have converted all the 2009 Fendts for 2013, and they work fine in the game.
If you enjoy them, convert them and use them - take no notice of what others say...

@Ellinor:
" many of the old mod vehicles 09, and 2011 are to large or to small which looks strange or even makes them hard to drive around since they take to much space. " - I'm not convinced this is correct.

You can import groups of them into the Editor and get a look at differences, but still I would need to know whether or not those differences reflect real-life machines - and then I'll still continue to use my Fendts ;-)

Glenn, if you want to install a tractor the size of a house in your game feel free to, but that wasn't the question. Neither is the Real Life size of the vehicles, the only scale that matters is the game worlds scale. And as i previously stated old mods are not the same scale as the world in FS2013 hence they are way oversized.

@Ellinor:

. Tell me a Fendt tractor from FS2009 that appears the size of a house in FS2013?
. What was the question?
. "the only scale that matters is the game worlds scale" - TRUE, and part of that must be the relative size of older mods to the current machines in FS2013. If the "older mods" (remember the OP and my response pointed to FS2009 Fendts) reflect the relative differences between respective real-world machinery, the older mods are valid, and fit the scale for FS2013!!

The 1:1 scale will not affect the game play other then if your mod is not 1:1 then you might end up driving around with a house (worst case scenario)! (as Ellinor wrote)

1:1 scale means that 1 millimeter in game world is 1 millimeter in real life, in short 1:1 means that your using the "real" model size in game world.

Feel free too correct this if its wrong.
