Which (and where) parameter(s) do I need to change to get more triangles per terrain unit? I've enlarged the map to 16x and terrain sculpting is terrible right now.
I recall seeing similar question being asked, but can't find that thread now.

you can adjust the value for "unitsPerPixel". (default value: 2)

|I did, it's 8 now and the map is bigger. But I mean the triangle/poly amount per 1 unit didn't got increased.
(it meant to be in FS15 section, my bad)

ever tried to reduce that value?
And yes, if you change that value the map size will change too.
If you want to avoid that you need to adjust the size of all the 'density' and the 'terrainHeight' files.

|In fact the map with unitsPerPixel=4 is enough. I placed invisible walls/boundaries around the map edges so the player can't get over them. But what I wanted to do is to add yet more terrain and objects (inaccessible for player) behind these boundaries so that it doesn't look like a piece of terrain up in the air.

But I'll stick with that 8x map and add some fake terrain model there I guess.
