Hello I hope Its okay I'm posting here. I have an issue with my game. I have about a 5 second lag about every 8 to 10 seconds. Sometimes it is worse but mostly it is pretty constant. I have tried settings on low and on high for my game. It almost is identical on both settings. Mods or not it is the same. I have the game on steam and have validated it. Also if i have a lot of vehicles or only a few doesn't matter. Was just wondering if anyone else has this problem. It also seems to run good for about 5 min or so when i first start then the lag begins. Here is my hardware setup. I also have a clean log file with no errors.

I'm running pretty much the same setup as yours, on a higher resolution, with no issues, so it's most likely not a lack of processing power.
To me (I'm nowhere near an expert) the freezing up after some time sounds like a memory leak, but since you say this also happens without mods, that would be very strange.
The only thing I can advise you to do is to completely uninstall FS17 (make sure to backup your savegames and mods beforehand) and reinstall it.
If this doesn't work, I'd contact GIANTS directly through email.

Are you running the game from an external Hard Drive?
Do you have the save frequency changed to occur regularly?

Ill try an uninstall on it and see if that will work.

No I run it off my computer no external hard drive. And i have no autosave on.
I do have a laptop if that makes a difference.

Thanks, Paul E.

I tried an uninstall and reinstall and it was exactly the same. But..... I got the newest game ready driver for my video card and it lags longer and more often but the lag is slower. like half as bad as before.
