I am trying to make a mod where a vehicle can be filled with wool by standing over the trigger, just like the regular wool pallets. So far I am not having any luck and I was wonder what exactly the sheep pasture trigger is looking for to "fill". I have gone through the XML-file of the original wool pallet multiple times but haven't found what exactly would allow it to fill.

Forget it. You can do nothing about XML alone. You'll need a custom lua script which simulates a fillable pallet.
