Hey guys, Sorry if this has already been answered, I did a search and couldn't find the answer. Where do I go to remove the daily upkeep costs on vehicles and placeables? Removing it in the XML doesn't seem to work, is it part of the LUA? |

In FS19 the vehicles don't have a <dailyUpkeep> tag anymore. The upkeep costs come from repair/maintenance at shop or workshop. The placeables have still this <dailyUpkeep> tag. For detailed calculation see Documentation-> LUADOC in Vehicle.lua and Placeable.lua the function 'getDailyUpkeep()'. |

That is incorrect. Some mods have a daily charge added to them and it shows up in the shop details of the placeable or equipment. The base game vehicles do not have these charges (houses do) but some modders have put charges on things. Would it be in the LUA of the mods like you said? The Manubal L5000 bale fork in the modhub has a $5 daily fee on it. Also the HTS 80.45 water tank has a $30 daily charge but not the slurry one and these are on the Modhub also. After some research it appears some of the FS17 mods that were converted have these charges still showing up, but the lack of consistency from Giants on the mods that appear on the Modhub make it confusing. |

What I said was related to standard (Giants') vehicles. And it makes sense to change a fixed daily upkeep to effektive wearing by real usage. Beneath this was often wished by the gamers. If a mod still uses the obsolete <dailyUpkeep> it isn't consistent to Giants' recommendation, however still 'legal'. Unluckily the calculating function 'StoreItemUtil.getDailyUpkeep()' isn't documented. So one can only guess which weight the <dailyUpkeep> component has. |
