A fine fellow by the name of Bilbo here on the forums shared with me a tip on using the debug log to track down errors with new mods, and it has proven to be an invaluable resource. However, it is no longer functioning and I don't know why. I removed all mods, verified the game files through steam, started a base vanilla game, and then checked the debug.log file in the following directory: E:\Fuman\steamapps\common\Farming Simulator 19 and the debug, log file contains the following: [1122/191120.486:ERROR:settings.cc(325)] Settings version is not 1 [1208/211533.922:ERROR:settings.cc(325)] Settings version is not 1 As far as I know, I haven't fiddled with any version numbers. And the aforementioned Bilbo has explained to me the meaning of versioning in mods. But as I said, I have removed all mods, and am now in a base vanilla game. Thoughts?.... please [edit] I noticed that the version on the game start splash screen is 1.7.1.0 if that helps. Thank you Fuman |

Never seen in 'normal' FS. This seems to be an error message only for Steam applications. Google for "ERROR:settings.cc(325) Settings version is not 1". It appears obviously only in connection with Steam. Also, you're looking in the wrong directory. The "debug.log" you have found is in the game install directory? As I told you earlier: the game log is in the FS user directory! {USER}\Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator...\log.txt |
