FS 22 Creating new paintable ground textures

Looking to create some custom paintable ground textures in landscaping mode ....Anyone have any insight in how to do this or the process ? Any help would be much appreciated guys thanks

Are you creating the textures from scratch if so then use the game terrain textures as a reference for size and format, if only adding new completed textures to the landscaping mode then the following link may help

thanks for your reply ..yes would be making new textures as want to create a paintable road surface with lines on an asphalt texture...could I use the existing asphalt texture and just add lines to it or would I need to remake the texture from scratch?

I would think that unless your painted roads are perfectly straight and only a single texture wide, the addition of "lines" could be a bit of an issue and would need to be added after the fact, perhaps a decal? Just my thoughts, Colin is by far the expert in this area.

I did use a lines decals on a road as an experiment when I done the Set Terrain Height, Paint Terrain and Spline Placement Scripts tutorial but as previously pointed out the problem comes on bends

the whole road scene was created with just one spline using the various scripts.
