I've downloaded the new editor however it doesnt open it comes up with an error - could not create render device..... Any ideas??

I don't think anyone ever came up with a reason for why this error occurs for some people. I'm wondering if it is OGL or DirectX related. It's a shot in the dark but you could open folder C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\GIANTS Editor 64bit 9.0.2 and have a look over the editor.xml to see if anything stands out. Look specifically for <renderer></renderer> and see what the value is there.
