| when I use just GE its fine but if I minimise it and say edit the XML the whole laptop is laggy even task manager and when I go back to GE it is very slow it will take about 5-10 seconds just to select something if I close GE the lag stops, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it still does it, I have tried lowing the undo steps to see if its a RAM problem but that didn't help either. it runs fine on my old laptop and only lags on my new one which is more powerful both laptops have 16 GB RAM, task manager says it is only using 67% of memory when GE is running with some other things open as well I have tried 9.0.4 and 9.0.6 and both versions lag any help or ideas on what to try is extremely appreciated |

| Try changing the graphics renderer: Edit the editor.xml file located in the following folder. C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\GIANTS Editor 64bit 9.0.\6\editor.xml . Do a find (CTRL "f") for OGL (easiest way to find the correct line to change). Change "<renderer>OGL</renderer>" to "<renderer>VULKAN</renderer>" and save the file. |
