i got error "mountainRock03_weight.png' incorrect format. Must be 8bit single channel."
how to fix

You will have to resize the image again. This time check the properties first and make sure it is set to 8 bit single channel.

OK I fixed this problem but my terrain is infinitely large after upscaling map.dem I have units per pixel set to 4 and map.dem size is 4097x4097

your "unitsPerPixel="2" " need to stay 2 and the " lodTextureSize="your wieghts size" " mine for my 16x is " lodTextureSize="8192" "my wieght are all
8192x8192 .

Actually, a upp of 4 is pretty common on 16x and preferred by some to keep file sizes to a minimum. It's the setup I used for my last 16x and it worked fine. upp 4, lodTextureSize 4096, weight files 4096, density images 8192, infoLayer_farmland 2048. Make sure the size in map.xml is 16384x16384. Once you have the right combination of sizes set, everything will look fine.

Error: Blocked area map is wrong size for terrain (4096 x 4096) vs (1024 x 1024)

Rescale your infoLayer_placementCollisionGenerated.grle. The size is currently 4096 and it should be 1024. After it's rescaled, use the drop-down in GE to recreate it.

Something could still be off if it's expecting a size of 1024. I would think it would be a minimum of 2048.

i fixed it now no errors anymore but now just completely empty map consumes near max of my RAM i think i will just stop with x16 maps and just go for 4x maybe

That's the issue with bigger maps and most of the reason for trying to keep the file sizes down. It doesn't just depend on your system, but the player's as well. What works well for you might be entirely unplayable for someone with a lesser system. Did you get the upp of 4 to work? It lets you cut the file sizes down almost literally in half and makes a huge difference in performance. But unfortunately, sometimes not even that is enough.
