So I have been trying to get GE to work on my dad's old tower computer. I believe it is an '06. My issue is when I load a model into GE 5.0.1 it cannot find any shapes and leaves me with a blank image. I've tried on my laptop, and that graphics card does not accept GE. Also I've tried 6.0.3 on the tower computer and it says "Error: Could not init 3D system. Shader Model 3.0 is required. Please install the latest video drivers. Download latest GPU driver now?" Farming Simulator is one of my favorite games. I've played since 11 was new. I understand if none of the computers I have can handle GE without any upgrades made. I'm just trying to establish a firm base before I drop some money on a graphics card for it to work. I am that dedicated to getting this to work. I hope that someday I will make my own mods and be able to edit others. I hope something can be resolved from this post. Log for GE 5.0.1, 6.0.3 won't even let me access the log. Hi, yes you're right the graphics card can't be used by the GIANTS Editor. It's too old. First thing which shows you this is: "Error: Could not init 3D system. Shader Model 3.0 is required. Please install the latest video drivers. Download latest GPU driver now?" Well, you could still try to update th edrivers of te graphics card, but in the end I doubt it will work because of the following two messages from the log: Warning: Not enough supported fragment shader tex indirections (4 < 12). Game might run unstably. Warning: Not enough supported fragment shader alu instructions (64 < 256). Game might run unstably. So, honestly speaking: it's awesome that you could keep playing on the PC for nearly ten years :) I guess it's time for a new one. (Not only GPU, but everything ;) ) Cheers, Emil |
