Hi, it seems that the export/import did not work for you. First you should export an object from the old/original map by using the option "export with files". By using this command not only the shape of the object will be exported but also its textures. Best would be to export the object directly into a subfolder of your new map. Afterwards you can import the object from that subfolder into your new map. So, whenever an object appears completly white/gray it is very likely that the textures are missing. Cheers, Emil |

Hi Emil, thanks for that I will try and see what happens. Howwver what if the object has come form a map beforehand it is an object I have downlaoaded as a mod. What happens with that? Thanks |

Hi, as long as the object has a valid texture in its original i3d file you should be able to use "export with files". But you have to extract the .zip file first (just in case the mod is zipped, which is very common) Cheers, Emil |

Hi, seems like the i3d format of these objects is too old. Or there's some other problem. Did you extract the archiv of the objects? Can you open the object's i3d file directly, without importing it to your map? Cheers, Emil |

Hi Emil, Thanks for that and yes I can open the objects i3d file normally however it just goes wrong when I try and import it into the map, even though I have been doing what you said it still doesn't work. Cheers |

Hi, that sounds weird. Could you give us a link to an example file? That might help to reproduce the problem. Cheers, Emil |

Hi, well, I had no problems at all to import the sheds. Do you use the latest version of the GIANTS Editor? http://gdn.giants-software.com/downloads.php So .... just place the folders "Shed_Pack" in a subfolder of your map (e.g. models/buildings) and import it from there. If that still doesn't work ... does the path to your map contain special characters? Cheers, Emil |

Hi, special characters are "Umlaute" for example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germanic_umlaut There are more though. Glad you got your problem solved. Cheers, Emil |
