|Hello everyone I've been using GE 6.0.3 alot for map work and was told about the new editor update sadly after doing some work the editor will not save giving me the error that Giants Editor 6.0.4 has stopped working. There are no errors in the editor log file so I'm wondering if there is something I can do because it has affected my 6.0.3 version and now I'm stuck on not being able to work anymore..

which version of the editor are you actually using?
The title of your post says 6.0.5, but you only name version 6.0.4 in your post.

I'm using 6.0.5 but when it crashes it labels it as 6.0.4 but there is not 6.0.4 on my pc

|i'm having the same problem, thought i'd made some sort of mistake, downloaded and installed the 64bit version of GE 6.0.5 from https://gdn.giants-software.com/downloads.php
and like Zach when it crashes the error dialogue box labels it as GE 6.0.4 that has stopped working. the crashes occur whenever i attempt to save my work, which is infuriatingly frustrating, as sometimes it can be a couple of hours work and then kerbang it crashes on save.
you can find the log file in the \AppData\Local\GIANTS Editor 64bit 6.0.5\ folder

does the crash only happens when you edit a mod map?
Could you please give us some steps to reproduce the error?

|at the moment am editing a map and the crash happens when i attempt to save my work.
open my map for editing is loads without error, according to the log.
do some work, make changes and modifications.
files save, and that is when the editor crashes.
took a screenshot of the crash message to illustrate the versioning issue. editor claiming to be version 6.0.5 and the dialogue saying version 6.0.4 has stopped working
it is happening so persistently that it is not worth using, which is really unfortunate as i am right in the middle of a map development project.

|6.0.5 was working really good and out of the blue it stops working and now it give me the same error and it will not load my maps. I unistalled it and reinstalled it and nothing.. Even went back to the 6.0.3 and that works but will not save now... Almost like a virus took over and broke it... I did a check on that and Im good. so HELP!

|I started a fresh new map with 6.0.5 and 6.0.3 and still had the same issue, I even backed up all my stuff on a second SSD and dive a full PC wipe reinstalled GE and its the same, so no difference between building new or editing old maps.. I checked the logs on both occasions with no errors just the same old 6.0.4.

|I am having a similar problem, mine saves but when I use the map in a game it crashes. But last night I noticed the same thing, when I save it says 6.0.4. I too am using 6.0.5.
