So up until yesterday, I have been editing a 4x mod map with 6.0.5 without issue. The viewport picture no longer displays anything but a white "overlay." I call it an overlay because the scenegraph contents are there, and I can click around the white "overlay" and select objects on the map. Here's a link to a screenshot of what I'm talking about: http://i.imgur.com/YJIy6fL.png And here's my GE log.txt, since it's so short: GIANTS Engine Runtime 6.0.2 64bit (Build Date: Jan 26 2016) Copyright (c) 2008-2015, GIANTS Software GmbH (giants-software.com), All Rights Reserved. I've tried uninstalling GE, removing the folders in the AppData/local/ folder and reinstalling GE. I've tried opening other maps, including stock, as well as the sample mod tractor. I'm out of ideas, short of uninstalling Farming Simulator and GE and reinstalling it, but if that's my only course, I'll do it. I'm just hoping one of you have another idea before I have to go down that hole. Any help? Thanks, JimmytheGeek |

Did you try selecting different items in the Scenegraph? David |

Hi, what's always worth a try is to install the newest gpu drivers. Afterwards you should clear the shader cache of the game and of the editor. Cheers, Emil |

Hi, it is not a problem with Windows 10. A lot of people use Windows 10 and have no problems at all. It must be something different. Maybe it is worth to update the drivers of your graphics card, as I statede in the last post. One very important prerquisite for the GIANTS Editor to work is a gpu which "fully" supports OpenGL. Lots of onboard gpus can't deliver that. Both, the Editor and the game create a log.txt. C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\GIANTS Editor 6.0.4\editor_log.txt C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2015\log.txt You can check their content for error messages. Cheers, Emil |

I have the latest GPU drivers, and I can select different stuff in the scenegraph to get the attributes and other parameters to show up. I've cleared the shader cache of both game and editor, but no difference. @ Jacob - there are several threads in the forum addressing this, as well as in many other sites. All you need to do (if your gpu is capable of running GE) is to create a camera and switch the view to the new camera. You might still need to tilt/pan around to find what you're looking for, but this will usually fix your problem. |

Hi, well after creating a new camera you could select an object in the scenegraph, move th mouse cursor to the viewport and hit 'f' on your keyboard - this moves the camera to the object. Not sure what causes the problem otherwise. Please check if you can open th edefault map or any default vehicle succesfully. Cheers, Emil |

Creating a new camera doesn't work for me either. The editor now will load the map/vehicle and show the last view of the map/vehicle I had, but as soon as I click on an object in the viewport, the viewport goes white again. Still no errors in my editor_log.txt: GIANTS Engine Runtime 6.0.2 64bit (Build Date: Jan 26 2016) Copyright (c) 2008-2015, GIANTS Software GmbH (giants-software.com), All Rights Reserved. I fixed my issue. When you uninstall 6.0.5, all versions of GE from 6.0.1 are still present in the C:\Users\Jim\AppData\Local\GIANTSPackageRegistry\GIANTSPackageRegistry.xml file. I deleted the entries for all 6.0.x and saved it. Then, I backed out to the Local file and removed all folders for 6.0.x and restarted my computer. After that, I downloaded a fresh copy of 6.0.5 and installed it, and everything is back to normal. Thanks for the help! |
