| Hello, today I worked on my own DEM Converter.. I figured it out how the color maps are and which height they have. But there are also other color's (green and red). Green and red make the Terrain softer or are green and red for the terrain details? It would be nice if one could tell me :) |

| I think the DEM image is supposed to be though of as a 16-bit gray-scale height-map. But most image-displaying-programs probably won't show 16-bits, but instead 8-bits red and 8-bits green. |
