Stanley Goscinski (Unknown) 28.10.2016 04:40
I was told its has something to do with the graphics card. Because I have that problem to.

Hi,

the game can run in OpenGL or DirectX.
But the editor requires OpenGL.

So, if your GPU is not able to support the required version of OpenGL you can't use the Editor.
Maybe it's time to get a new PC ;)

Cheers,
Emil

Got an old laptop with the same problem, but since my desktop has a proper graphic card I can still use the editor on that.

Hi,

please see my last post.
It's very likely that your GPU does not support the required version of OpenGL.

If you have two GPUs (one onboard and one dedicated) just nake sure that the dedicated card is used when the GIANTS Editor is opened.

Cheers,
Emil

I'm having same problem with GE version 7.1.0. It doesn't matter GPU old or new. My work station built for 3d architecture modeling, but still gives me this "Could not create OpenGL viewport" error.
