where can we find new versions of these that are straight, not bend and crooked?

you can make new one in maya, blender,or 3ds max,map boundaries are nothing else then empty piece of geometry without textures, and not renderable in the editor.
So you can make box without a texture, export it to giants editor, resize it to fit in your map and you are done.
Simple as that.
Dont forget to enable collision in object menu in the editor.

Thanks again Tarja, another helpful post (Giants should hire you), I see you can also add textures to the boundaries too, like scenery. Which again, as you say no big woof to do. I see a ;lot of maps are set up with them being round, which I kind of like. The idea of the mountain models in the background of Goldcrest was a clever idea too,

No problem James, off course, you can add texture, cause boundaries are also just a object, but no texture apllied,in the same way you can use any wall object, resize it and put in 4 part at your map.Object can be disabled in options like no renderable but with colisions.Or you can add for example distance mountain texture or trees, and like you said behind this wall you can install mountain.
Lots of people have very good ideas, and you can learn from them.

Yeah, I've spent a lot of time looking at all kinds of mods maps for FS15, and now FS17 as they come out, in order to learn, and I seen some nice boundary's done in many different ways. I been creating maps, and adding AI to maps for other s for the Battlefield series for years, and I have to get used to an all new way of doing it with this editor.
