Cheerz,

First of all, i'm very happy to see your posts again Emil ;)

Noticed a strange, reproducable issue.
Tipping near end of the "terrain model" within 15-25 meter (not exact value), the game engine causes crash. I've drawed tipCol layer + generated using GE script; ingame the trailer start the tipping animation for a sec, after that CTD.
Reproduced on modmap created from GCV (removed mapbound collision, and lowered terrain to reach the end of the map)

Is this issue will be fixed, or we have to use mapBoundaries coll?

Regards,
n0tr3adY

Hi,

map boundaries are generally not a bad idea, because otherwise players could fall off the map - not convenient ;)

So, I tested the following with GCV:
- removed the map boundary west
- save map
- start new game

Tipping near the end of the map, even on very last unit was no problem.

Eventually you should check the tipCol layer and see if there are some regions which stop you from unloading.

Cheers,
Emil

Hi,

Then it's vey interesting. Same method here (modmap from GCV, removed mapBound, smoothed terrain). I've tried w/o tipCol layer painted, both cases causes crash. Map is completely log-free.

Hi,
Sorry for my english.

The problem only occurs at the southern edge of the maps. Since we have already tested many maps. The municipality of Rade on Modhub is also affected, for example, when you put winds on field 11. However, this occurs only in the area of 15m from the map edge. So far we have not found a solution to the problem.

Greeting Tobi

Then bump again.

Hi,

okay, I could reproduce that issue.

I will forward it ... but can't guarantee that it will be fixed in any patch for FS17.
Maybe it will be fixed in FS19.
Maybe not, because the borders are not extremly important.
But a crash must be analzyed, so chances are not too bad ;)

Cheers,
Emil

Hi,

great news for you: problem has been fixed and will be released with the next patch for FS17 (v 1.5).
But that's gonna need some time ;)

Cheers,
Emil
