Hello! im new to modding, and i really want to understand giants editor because i have some things i want to do, so first i was playing around with the claw of a forwarder mod, was trying to make the claw bigger so i could take more loggs.
After i have made my changes to the claw it wont apply to the game, but if i open the i3d file i can see my changes but not in the game.
It cant be that hard to fix a bigger claw?

I would love to get some help with this,

Cheers!

Hi,

hmmm, gonna mention some basic principles ...

First of all you have to distinguish between "physical" and "visual" meshes.
All meshes should have a sclae of "1 1 1".
And clearly you should have created a mod out of the original machine (assuming that you used a machine from the base game)

Maybe that information can help already?

Cheers,
Emil

Hi,

well you can adjust the attributes of an object, which means that you can not only translate or rotate an object, but you can also scale it.
If the scale is not "1" for evry axis (x,y and z) you might get some weird effects/problems/artefacts.

Or did you refer to the "physical vs visual mesh" statement?

Cheers,
Emil
