Hi,
I lost info layer options in GE terrain editing window. Also, info layer of my map is completely white and i can't paint/subtract info layer. How can i fix it?

I sorted it out from with a bacuo file.
But still i donot know how to edit infolayer in GE

I'd assume, your map doesn't have infoLayers. Any errors in log?
Check i3d section <Layers> for <InfoLayer .. tags.
At least <InfoLayer name="tipCol" and <InfoLayer name="farmland" should be present.

Hi Bilbo,
I have XX_farmland.grle and tipColInfoLayer.grle files. There must be more?
This is the only error in log file:, "Warning: DensityMapVisualizationOverlay is being reset, because a DensityMap it refers to was deleted."
In GE, i can only see tipcol option in info layer painting window.

Sure these files should exist.
But also important: are they linked in i3d ?
Load the map.i3d into text editor and check for <InfoLayer name="tipCol" and <InfoLayer name="farmland"
Also check for proper linkage with the fileId=".." in <Files>.
Maybe you have deleted something accidentally.

The mentioned error message also indicates you have made mistakes.

Best was you go back to a backup where no errors occured. I doubt you get your current map repaired.

Anyone know where I can get the channels for the buyable land? I can't seem to sort this no matter how hard I try.

Thanks Bilbo. I linked farmland and in GE i can see both tipcol and farmland options.
But all of my backup files has the same error: "Warning: DensityMapVisualizationOverlay is being reset, because a DensityMap it refers to was deleted."
So i still need help to fix it.

Compare your modmap with the original/source. Look which files are missing, also in subfolder "mapXX".
If you're lucky, the map works with the default (empty) replacement.

@Christopher Kimball
Simply calculate them. The bitmask represents the binary value of the decimal in "farmland.xml".
Notice: bit 0 is the right, lowest bit.

Bilbo,
I compared my modmap with the original mapDE and couldn't find any difference.
Then i played the original maps and both maps had the same warning in the log file.
I reloaded FS19 and GE, created a new modmap, didnot touch anything but still having the same warning. What will be the effect of that warning for me?
Do you have any suggestions?

With the original Giants' maps? Curious - never had that. There might be something wrong with your installation.
Looks for me, you're playing with a higher FS (patch), however with obsolete data files (from an earlier vs).
The reason could be a wrong installation (eg. by missing admin. rights) so that certain files couldn't be written.
You always MUST install with full admin. rights: right click on setup -> run as administrator.

What effect the warning has, I can only guess. Since it's a VisualizationOverlay I'd assume minor important for gameplay, major for display.

Thank you for your help Bilbo.

Dear Bilbo

The original map with the latest patch has this ingame error "Warning: DensityMapVisualizationOverlay is being reset, because a DensityMap it refers to was deleted."

This is the fault of game (developers) not the of gamers! I think this is still a half-made game with lots of bugs. Why do you lay the blame on gamers for this issue?

Bilbo Beutlin (BBeutlin) 22.12.2018 04:04
Because I never had this trouble (errors) in my FS since day-one patch.

Warning: DensityMapVisualizationOverlay is being reset, because a DensityMap it refers to was deleted. I get this error on any map including vanilla with no mods.. All my field textures are messed up plowing/cultivating all go one way. I dont know why. My guess its the junk ass game...
