Check for updates (

1. Update to GE v8.1
2. Make sure your gfx driver is actual
3. Disable cloud storage (eg. OneDrive etc.)
4. Disable any program which accesses the gfx card directly (eg. Steam-Overlay, Nvidia Experience etc.)
5. Check tasklist (in taskmonitor) for possibly disturbing tasks
6. Start the GE directly from install folder (no shortcut), begin with blank GE (no file) - if it runs try loading a standard i3d (from game)

thank you for trying to help me, but I'm not very good with computers at this level, so I'm not sure what to do

Nicolas Le Bozec (nico29299) 31.03.2019 23:01
hello I come back to you because I managed to do what you told me, but giants editor still does not work

Bilbo Beutlin (BBeutlin) 01.04.2019 03:29
Create a shortcut/link for the GE and setup
- run/execute: maximized
- compatibility: run as administrator
Then start the GE with the shortcut.

If it doesn't open there's probably another task running which forces others into background.

check your openGL version, it must be 4.5 on GE 8.1.0
