| Hello. I recently started getting into map making and I have started to make one. However I would really like to try it but when I save I don't get the additional files that are needed like, "defaultItems.xml" , "defaultVehicles.xml" and "modDesc.xml" Maybe I'm just doing something wrong but any help would be greatly appreciated. | Best method for beginners is using the GE's "new mod from game" with a default map. This will generate all required files - merely in the modDesc.xml you'll have to add some entries. Possibly also minor path adjusting in defaultItems/Vehicles.xml ( $data/ vs. data/ ). See for reference Giants' maps and mods (on ModHub) if you have problems. |
