Hello everyone,
i'd trying to create my own horse pasture but i cannot find any info about the channel to use when creating the navmesh. I have tried with the InfoLayer like i did for the other animals but it is unfortunate. Please someone could help me?

See video tutorials here on GDN for FS17 -> chapter 9: navigation meshes. It's still the same as for FS19.
Also you'll find many other guides in web.

yeah thx for the tip to the vid but there is no information about horses in it. I just wanna know what Culling Info Layer Channels choose.
I already watch huge amount of guides but nothing about horses. this is why i ask for help here.

Did you search really?
By searching for "fs19 nav mesh horse" you'll find alone on sites of "giants-software.com" many guides and infos.
You shouldn't expect to find the right infos for you in the very first hits.

so manyguides for cows...everywhere! i could do it blindfolded. But horses : nothing.

*sigh* There's barely a difference between the animals. Alone some nav mesh flags are diverging.
Take a default horse husbandry and examine the flags.

I don't think examining the default husbandry navMeshes lets you actually see what channel they are. Only when creating a navmesh. So how would one know what channel.

uh? really? iirc in earlier GEs one could check the flags (too long ago, I can't remember exactly).

Anyway, the well known channels are 0-3 (cow, sheep, chicken, pigs). So quite sure horses have channel 4.

Yeah, once the mesh is created from the primitive you can no longer see the flags. I think you are correct. I used 4 for horses. However, I am having issues with them freezing unless I am next to them so I wondered maybe i was wrong.

Since I didn't fiddle around much with husbandries, only guessing:
Perhaps a radius problem? Cows have 1.2, so horses should have at least also this value, perhaps even more.
Or could be, the bitmasks of "shape" and "culling info" are not in accordance.

Doug Williams (Dougw133) 05.07.2020 08:06
Yeah I believe I used the same radius. I'll mess around with.

Horses Channel 4 Radius 1.2

If they freeze then its this

The main transformgroup should have no rotation, as well as the namesh. I had rotation. Not sure why this causes it but it fixed it for me as well.
