So I am working on 4x map from scratch, and texture painting is not quite nice, it paint in quite big chunks and not really where I want them to paint. sample map was downloaded from cazz64

If you're not satisfied, take another map template. Before DL read the user notes about map.

Make yourself familar with the GE options in GE menu File/Preferences/Viewport as well as the settings in terrain paint mode.
