Did somebody find out how to create 4x maps in fs22? the method from fs19 is not working anymore i think.

Works fine for me. I used grle and gdm files from fs19 map. Also used the same modmap lua.

seems to be an issue with exported maps that are duplicates of default game,

empty maps are error free

Error: Sound template 'DEFAULT_SURFACE_SNOW' was not found in sound.surface.material(8)

Error: Sound template 'DEFAULT_SURFACE_WATER_MEDIUM' was not found in sound.surface.material(10)

Error: Sound template 'DEFAULT_FOOTSTEP_WATER_MEDIUM' was not found in sound.surface.material(21)

Error: Sound template 'DEFAULT_HOOFSTEP_WATER_MEDIUM' was not found in sound.surface.material(32)

Seems to be a new sound system in fs22, not sure how to fix these errors,

these errors are from an in game model, errors are gone, when an empty map.

any ideas how to fix the above would be great

go to map xml and relink the sounds back to the game files and those should go away ($data)

DensityMapHeightUpdater collision map updater wont create a file, no way to get the file to update it, fs22 has no plcMap.grle or plcColMap.grle

i have everything working, yet one error,

2021-11-26 16:01 Error: Trying to set DensityMapHeightUpdater collision map with invalid size (8388608 vs 134217728)
2021-11-26 16:01 Warning: No tip collision map defined. Creating empty tip placement collision map.

any ideas how to fix this?

Ich habe den Error in meiner Log und bekomme den nicht weg
Error: Blocked area map is wrong size for terrain (4096 x 4096) vs (2048 x 2048)

Die .grle sind auf 4096x4096

das Skript habe ich auch schon probiert aber das ändert nichts
"GE -> scripts --> map -> create ground collision map"

Hat jemand eine Idee was ich falsch mache?

Ich klinke mich da mal ein habe das selbe Problem mit meiner 16 Fach Map, komme da auch nicht weiter. Die infoLayer habe ich schon Konvertiert und auf 4096 gebracht nur er wandelt sie nicht wieder in grle Dateien um wen ich den Editor speichere.

for the blocked area error you have to scale the infoLayer_placementCollisionGenerated grle on 2k for 4x maps. for 16x idont know. but there are other problems: the sun couse some weird shadows at the map corners and the tip collision is not high res enough so chaff will glitch through silo walls.

Da der GE die Datei nicht wieder umwandelt kriege ich jetzt folgende Meldung Warning: No placement collision map defined. Creating empty placement collision map.

you have to open the map i3d with notepad and change from .grle to .png for the files

Diese Datei ist nicht in der i3D bei mir zu finden, alle anderen grle Datein ja

I am working on a 64x map, and I've scaled the files in the data folder to the correct size, and also opened the map.i3d in a text editor, and changed the GRLE and GDM to pngs, and when I open the map in Giants Editor, the editor crashes. I have checked the log for the editor and there are no errors or warnings. When I open it in FS22, I get the following errors:

You need to open the map in game, save the the game.

The second part _" Warning: No tip collision map defined. Creating empty tip placement collision map."_

Look in your saved game file and copy the " tipColMap.grle" and put it in your mod map and rename it "map name.i3d.colMap.grle" remove the old one that is in your mod map folder.

Für die Soundmeldungen in die map.xml folgendes einfügen <sounds filename="$data/maps/mapFR/sound.xml" />
mapFR anpassen welche Map ihr verwendet.

I found a solution for weird shadows in corners on 4x maps.
Open map in GE - select Sun in scenegraph - go to atributes - "Light" tab and scroll down to Fixed box min and max X,Y and Z and change change values from 1024 to 2048.

Jānis Strautiņš (stream6) meinst du Fixed box Max X 1024 Bei Fixed box min X steht -1024 und nicht wie von dir beschrieben 1024.

Edit habs getestet auch bei -1024 muss der neue Wert rein. Es muss dort wie er oben beschrieben hat abe rnicht nur bei Fixed Bbox Min X auch bei Min Y und Max X und Max Y die Änderung gemacht werden.

Yes sorry, edited it so it would make more sense now.
Also i cant get multi terrain angles to follow my driving direction, anyone knows a solution for that?
