Do you have the same problem as me on the giant editor 9.0.1?
Looks like many faces are colliding

There is no such issue on Nvidia RTX cards,AMD gpu-s have problems in many games,90% of games runs better on Nvidia.
Your problem is most likely driver and chip related so if you have drivers updated to the last version and problem is still here then there is nothing else you can do...been there,done that!
I bought AMD gpu in the past and regret it,since then im always using Nvidia.

Alexis Guignon (alexis21850) 26.11.2021 00:06
I have no problem with any games, I took AMD because they have greater shader computing capacity compared to NVIDIA. For 3D creation this is beneficial. I am only experiencing this problem in the GIANT editor.

My pilots are up to date and please in the update note it notifies that this update is made to arrive from Farming Simulator 22

Hey, I have same problem. I have RX6600 card. And also the newest drivers.

Nico Jensen (Vanilleeis) 30.11.2021 19:41
I do have the problem too. 6800XT here. Every Texture is flickering as hell. Even the original maps, so this is a rendering issue indeed.

@Grim Reaper please do not post misleading information which are not fact based. Thank you.

Please go to the appdata folder and change the editor rendering method from OpenGL to Vulkan

Thank you very much @Alexis21850

@MOD
Idk if @grimreaperalphax post fits here, seems very unrelated to topic.

Hey all,

I have a AMD Radeon HD 8500M/8700M graphics card. Now, even on Giants Editor 9.0.2 it still does not "show" anything. It does the GL_NV_shading_rate_image not supported error.

Before you go and say I haven't changed the OpenGL to Vulkan, but I have. The only thing I can see is light sources. It still throws the error. I know my graphics card isn't strong, nor reliable but it works. And I can conform that because on GIANTS Editor 9.0.1 (when that came out) it worked fine.

Help would be thanked for. - Trigger

How do you change the editor rendering method? can't find anywhere.

Matthias Banckaert (Bankkaart) 16.02.2022 18:04
@Minaret
at the bottom (line 156) says "<renderer>OGL</renderer>"
just change "OGL" to "Vulkan"

Thank you to the man that started this thread! And a bigger thank you to the man who had the Vulkan fix. I've been looking for days and almost gave up. I believe I owe someone a beer :)

Herman Van Den Berg (sherman1987) 14.04.2022 10:42
Hey Thanks for the starter off this tread. have been looking forever for a fix off this glitch with AMD drivers. Oh and for who cant find the xml its located at C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\GIANTS Editor 64bit 9.0.2 its the editor.xml file Best regards Shermy

@Matthias Banckaert
im having almost the same problem here, but my screen turn grey depending the way im looking to the map..
tried to change to Vulkan just to have the editor closing w/o any error when loading a map

never had this problem with v8 for fs19

Mateusz P (mateusiak22) 21.04.2022 13:46
I have the same problem. Is the Giants working to fix the problem?

Scott Story (sstory) 26.05.2022 17:57
Thank you for this fix.
Here are all the steps needed to fix in one thread.

Edit the editor.xml file located in the following folder. C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\GIANTS Editor 64bit 9.0.2\editor.xml .

Do a find (CTRL "f") for OGL (easiest way to find the correct line to change). Change "<renderer>OGL</renderer>" to "<renderer>Valkan</renderer>" and save the file.

Then run the editor and this should correct the issue.

Thank you to Alexis Guignon (alexis21850) and Herman Van Den Berg (sherman1987)

for me the Vulkan solution is not working.
I'm using a script that works. I post it here for anyone who want to try it

Shane Klein (XxAODxX) 07.04.2023 04:33
I'm having this exact issue, I'm running a AMD RX6600XT. I've tried to change the xml from OGL to Valkan, however, GE instantly changes it back when opened. Any other possible fixes other than buying a new GPU? Running GE V9.0.3

Lars Kretschmer (Floowy) 27.04.2023 21:26
@Shane Klein

It's not Valkan change >OGL< to >VULKAN<

Adam James (james200410) 07.05.2023 02:14
I also have the same issue, have tried the Vulkan tweak and also the custom script above but to no avail.

Sevrinszki Rebeka (sevrebee) 05.03.2024 15:43
Hey! I had same issue, but i don't change anything. (not worked for me)
I just run the editor, and ->file menu ->open mod ->add to .zip mod file and done. It's worked for me.
Amd 5700XT, editor 9.0.6
