| No matter what I try and open with the 9.0.1 Editor I keep getting the message (check for updates). I can't even look at the editor log because it gives me the same message in the "console". Anyone know how to fix this? |

| It's the normal startup message and means you must lookup for updates yourself. |

| Is that the cause of why I cannot open anything though? I don't even think there is a newer version for me to look for. |

| At first start the GE stand-alone (without file). If it returns to desktop immediately, doesn't even write a logfile, there's something weird with your system. Here we need further infos about your CPU, RAM, GPU (gfx card) and OS version. In first tests make sure, you don't use cloud storage. Also disable any anti-malware program (temporarily). |
