Hey,

i have the same problem. Have you found a solution?

Martin Schaper (mschaper) 24.01.2022 00:50
i have the same problem on win11

Ed Propsner (crotchfrog) 24.01.2022 22:01
It seems like you are using the patched version of the game, but the older version of the editor. Try upgrading GE to version 9.02.

Stykson 04.02.2022 09:52
I have the same problem but on this version 9.0.2
Can someone help me?

reinstalling didn't improve anything.
I'm slowly getting tired of this ...

Ed Propsner (crotchfrog) 04.02.2022 12:36
Have you upgraded the game or are you still playing the original release version? Outside of that, I can only guess that your system may not be compatible but don't hold me to that because I really don't know.

Stykson 04.02.2022 13:02
I have version 1.2.0.2 from steam. I was hoping that the requirements from the previous editors hadn't changed since fs 19. I thought this was because I started right away with version 9.0.2. I will probably have to wait for the updates or try on a different computer.

William Rowe (Bonger76) 04.02.2022 16:31
find where your editor is installed at and check your <gameinstallationpath> in your editor.xml, mine looks like this in the .xml my game is PC DVD.

<common>
<texteditor></texteditor>
<gameinstallationpath>C:/Program Files (x86)/Farming Simulator 2022/</gameinstallationpath>
</common>

yours needs to be wherever steam puts it .This might not be the problem but worth A look.

Ed Propsner (crotchfrog) 04.02.2022 18:43
That sounds about right! That's usually what I start with and I thought we covered that. I'm getting my threads mixed up :)

Wayne Fartman (homebuilder) 06.02.2022 14:49
Having the same issue. Ever mod I try crashes editor. Editor and game are up to date.

Mike Horn (sti2003) 06.02.2022 19:36
i am also having the same issue, really annoying,

Ed Propsner (crotchfrog) 06.02.2022 20:46
And you guys have checked your game installation path in GE? That's almost always the reason the editor crashes the way it does. In GE go to FILE > PREFERENCES and look for the box GAME INSTALLATION. Double check what's there.

Stykson 08.02.2022 22:42
How to add path to file when program crashes immediately?
I would like to add that even manually using xml files, I tried to add the path to the program and it crashed anyway.

Ed Propsner (crotchfrog) 09.02.2022 12:50
Unfortunately adding the path through the xml is the only other option you have (that I know of). Is it possible you're not adding the correct path? What path are you entering? Outside of that you could try deleting the entire editor.xml and then start the process over.

Markus Hausberg (Mmtrx) 16.02.2022 10:31
I had the same startup crash. What helped me, was:
delete all files in C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\Local\GIANTS Editor 64bit 9.0.2\shader_cache.
